Ivan  Altar is in despair .

Anyone would be in despair if they could not cultivate to immortality when they are reborn where they could achieve such feats.

Further reborn as the second prince of Altar empire with no cultivating talent is not something anyone would look up to being.

he knew that  moping about it would bring  no change.

“Prince Ivan, you are requested to be present  during  dinner by the Emperor” an old man’s voice resounded near Ivan’s ear  when no one was present in his room.

“yes I will be there, you may leave now”

Ivan got up from his bed and moved near the mirror to check his appearance. Born as the offspring of a beautiful couple, he inherited all the good features from his parents , black hair with black pupil placed on a handsome face.

“A paper tiger huh” Ivan could only wryly laugh thinking about his condition.

He put up a cold front  and started to walk towards his father’s locations, ignoring all the pitying eyes  from the servants.

When he reached the door where all his family member’s are located he started to hesitate.

Ivan knew what is his fate going to be  as he is nothing more than a mortal prince.

He pushed the door  open and went inside, being greeted by his father emperor Saal altar’s face.
A man with black hair and sharp eyes in his late twenties.

His mother was sitting besides his father’s other two wives.

“Sit down” Ivan heard his father’s voice which contained an inaudible sigh.

Ivan went and sat in a chair furthest from his father and mother.

His father was staring at him ever since he came to this room leaving Ivan with no opportunity to open his mouth.

“you are going to join the army”

“huh?!!” Ivan was caught of guard  as sending a prince to the army is the same as loosing his authority as the prince.

“why?”

“As you are now , your status is highly unstable in the castle such it’s best you accumulate merits from the army before returning.”

The army is the quickest way to accumulate achievements, but Ivan was still hesitant..as killing isn't in his forte.

Ivan knew ever since his absence of cultivation talent was made public, the nobles who were supporting him started to abandon him.

There are no true friendship between nobles, there are only mutual benefits between them, and if you are unable to provide them with one, then you are not needed.

“When?”  Ivan knew there is no escaping from this and his father is doing this for his own goodness.

“Starting tomorrow”

“Then I will going back” Ivan quickly finished his meals and stood up to leave.

“and son”

“yes?”

“don’t die”
