"Lo...lor..."
"Lor...."
"Strawberry..." I don't know who is calling me, but right now I'm in the midst of dreaming my long-awaited strawberries and nothing is going to wake me from this.
"Wha...lor..."
".. "
"Lord Mael, wake up!"
"Urghh..."
The little prick, how many times have I told him not to yell near me? I slowly opened my eyes to look at the giant black wolf before me.
"Wolfie."
"Yes, milord?"
"Get lost."
"Pardon?"
"You are ruining my dream."
No, I can't dillydally now. My strawberries are on the line. Back to sleep.
"zzz...zzz..."
Splash
"Whaa...."
The sudden splash of water on my face took any semblance of sleep from me.
"......"
"It's time for the alliance meeting," Wolfie spoke with a deadpan expression as I glared at him.
A meeting, huh? Come to think of it, there was that...
"Hmmm... Wolfie?"
"Yes?"
"Skip."
sigh
"Unfortunately, you can't skip this time."
"No, skip it."
"Haaa... This time the Four Primordial Sovereigns have demanded the presence of all... that includes you."
They did?! That’s a surprise. Maybe something serious must have happened, or maybe not. Not my problem.
"Do you still remember the location of the alliance, milord?" he asked me with a tired expression.
"...."
It doesn't matter. I'm not going to be there, and why should I remember some random place I visited eons ago?
"I will leave the coordinates here. I will be waiting there for you, milord." Wolfie condensed the location into a light sphere and placed it near me before disappearing from my sight.
"Should I go?" I hesitated at the thought of it.
But if I ignore the call of the Sovereigns, they will take it as a challenge to their authority.
“Hmmm... I will think about it after a light nap,” I muttered as I closed my eyes and went back to the fading dream where I was enjoying the said berries.
